Clay Storage Heaters
We were only determined to use the best material for heating your home as we know how important it is to keep your family warm and comfortable, especially during those cold winter nights. So we specially chose a material that was perfect for doing just that. Our radiators consist of a Chamotte clay core, which makes our radiators so unique overnight storage heaters. Our clay storage heaters allow you to heat your home faster than Economy 7 systems and retain heat for longer than similar slimline storage heaters. Our clay storage heaters are exclusive to West Country Heating, which is why we are so proud to be able to offer as a long-term heating solution in your home.
Complete Control of Your Heating
Our energy efficient clay storage heaters use advanced ceramic core technology to heat your home. Chamotte forms the core of our radiators and heats up the material quickly and emits heat in a way that provides you and your family with reliable heat whenever you need it. You can heat your home with our clay storage heaters, whenever you want, at whatever comfort setting you opt for.
Heat Up As and When Required
The actual power input of our clay storage heaters is regulated by the radiator thermostat, which means the clay core will heat up as required, depending on the thermostat setting and the outside temperature. As a result, you will have complete control over each room’s temperature, so you can choose to heat the bedroom, whilst you are in the bathroom if you so wish.
Ideal for Colder Climates
Heating solutions like our clay storage heaters have been successfully tried and tested in Germany and Northern Europe, where temperatures can be extremely cold for long periods. Our heater core is also high-quality and non-porous, which can make a huge difference to the amount of heat emitted into your home in the unpredictable British weather. Our clay storage heaters are also designed with specially engineered flutes that provide you with five times the surface area than standard night storage heaters, perfect for maximum heat distribution.
Less Electricity Waste, Saving You Money
With our German electric radiators, you will experience lower power consumption and less electricity waste that saves you money. The clay in the storage heaters heats up rapidly and retains the heat in the radiator’s core. The process of continuously generating and conserving heating within the clay core means that electricity draw-down is lower than night storage heaters. It also ensures that your heating is as efficient and cost-effective as it can be. As soon as the power comes on, the radiator element heats up and the chamotte plates reach maximum temperature within just 5 minutes, resulting in a warm, cosy room in less than half an hour. You wouldn’t get that with Economy 7, as they take up to 7 hours to reach optimum operating temperature, it’s a no-brainer as to which one will be more efficient!
Specially Chosen Material
We believe that the use of our chamotte in our clay storage heaters is the best material we could’ve chosen because of all its added benefits. It’s not a cheap material to use, as we believe that good things don’t come cheap. Here at West Country Heating, we don’t try and cut costs here and there by using poor quality materials, just to save us money because that will not benefit you in the long run. We understand that in our damp British climate, poorer quality ceramics suck moisture out of the air when they are switched off for some time, especially during summer months. When they come on in autumn, the water ingress can cause the radiator to short circuit the house electrics and can create rusting in the inner casement, which is what we want to avoid at all costs. We are also so confident in our clay storage heaters that all of our radiators come with a manufacturer backed 25-year guarantee, for your own peace of mind.

Free Home Survey
We carry out a free home survey so you can see our products at first hand.
Here we will survey the volume of each room and asses the build and quality of insulation. We will take into account the exposure, outside walls and areas of windows. Once we have this information, we can calculate the correct size and kilowatt rating of each appliance required. We also check the capacity of your fuse board and assess any new wiring which may be required.
All you need to do is sit and relax whilst we do all the work.
